Will, Our response to ticket 68 agrees to the removal of utf-16le-codec and utf-16be-codec and the addition of utf-16-codec. This is just a reminder that this has not yet been done and that you might want to do it as part of the I/O rewrite. I'm bringing it up because ticket 68 was one of mine to check. Kent
